friends: meeting & making

for now, our "no drama" luncheon series, 

friends: meeting & making, 

is exclusive to the dc metro area.

the idea is simple though and it can work anywhere.

here's the scoop. there are great women everywhere. really. and oftentimes, logical connections---for friendship, business, carpool, whatever---are only one or maybe two steps removed. the theory behind friends: meeting & making is much like the age-old theory regarding six degrees of separation.

so the luncheons are about creating those connections. through the friends: meeting & making series, we take time to introduce high-quality women to one another. but the introductions are not simply for the point of business connections or networking.

the luncheons generally take place in a private home and last only a couple of hours. they include swag bags that will hopefully become more and more fabulous as the series progresses.

they also offer an opportunity for mingling chat, and a delicious luncheon that includes time to learn a little about each guest and the swag-contributing businesses. 

but the learning isn't just about where guests live or work. in fact, it's more about what makes them tick, what makes them interesting, intriguing, or funny, or what drives them. 

it's like girlfriend time---with new girlfriends---in a very meaningful, and very time-compressed, format. and you know what else? everyone leaves feeling happy and recharged.
